The car will always be best known for it domination in world rallying but a recent TV series “Ashes to Ashes” has brought the car to the public attention again.

Audi A5 Sportback 2008

Audi’s new A5 Sportback. The hatch-totin’ sedan basically combines an A4 wagon and an A5 coupe with the roofline of an upside-down whale, while offering little of those things’ respective practicality, sexiness, or baleen.
The A4-based car won’t be coming to America, but Europeans have six engines to choose from at launch, all of them direct-injected, and all of them turbocharged. Three TDI diesels are on offer: a 2.0-liter four-cylinder making 170 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque, a 2.7-liter V-6 good for 190 hp and 295 lb-ft, and a 3.0-liter V-6 that produces 240 hp and a mouth-watering 369 lb-ft. Acceleration to 62 mph is claimed at 8.7 seconds, 8.2 seconds, and 6.1 seconds, respectively.

The Audi Q5's fuel consumption figures are more as they should be for a petrol engined SUV and are posted as: 27.1mpg for the urban cycle, a disappointing 38.6mpg for the extra-urban and 33.2mpg for the combined with 197g/km CO2 emissions.
In place of the standard 6-speed manual, the Audi Q5 test car had the 7-speed S-Tronic automatic gearbox. It sounds simple enough but is actually a complicated system involving a twin clutch that can complete gear changes in a fraction of a second. It adds £1,420 but the result is a super-smooth change and, even in the sportier, manual-sequential mode, the change is almost imperceptible.
The test car carries an OTR price of £32,890. As the top-of-the-range, the Audi Q5 S-Line should be well equipped and it is but some items that you would expect to be standard that are, in fact options. The electrically operated, folding and heated door mirrors, electric front seats or heated front seats, for that matter, are extras costing £180, £510 and £270, respectively.

2010 Audi R8 Spyder

With the arrival of the Audi R8 Spyder, Audi supercar adds third model variant of the V-8 and V-10 coupe. The open top R8 debuts with 5.2-liter V-10 engine makes 525 hp and 391 pounds-feet the same as in the coupe and offers the same choice of six-speed manual or R tronic gearbox.
With the standard rear-biased Quattro all-wheel-drive system and the program start to the fight against Spyder is just a fraction slower than his brother hardtop (who’s 220 pounds lighter), roar up to 62 mph in 4.1 seconds at 125 mph 12.7 seconds. Audi also claims that the power soft top is good all the way to the 194-mph top speed is Spyder. The Spyder will lose not only the fixed roof, but the optional side blades of coupes. The car is “top-up profile borrows a bit from the BMW 6-Series convertible, with a straight rear window glass (can be powered up and down) can be hidden between the back edge of the summit to extend again.
