Audi A4 Saloon Best Cars

First images of new high-tech Audi compact executive saloon released ahead of its Frankfurt Show debut, in September 2007.
The all new Audi A4 Saloon - the sportiest car in the premium compact executive sector according to Audi - is revealed to the world in pictures this week ahead of its world debut on the show stand at the Frankfurt Motor Show (September 13-23).
Scheduled to open for UK ordering on the show’s Press Day on Tuesday September 11th 2007, the completely redesigned saloon sits on the longest wheelbase in the class, benefiting both interior space and chassis composure. In the interests of the latter, its completely new suspension and steering configuration sites the front axle 154mm further forwards than in the existing car, reducing overhang and optimising weight distribution for outstanding handling balance.

Audi A5 Sportback New Cars

Confirmed by multiple sources within Audi and rumored by just about every automotive news outlet, the A5 Sportback wil be a stylish 5-door variant somewhere between a coupe and an Avant. The A5 Sportback marks and expansion of the 'Sportback' family of cars from Audi that was begun with the A3 and will also see an A7 version once that model is launched.
Drawings sourced directly from Audi AG's design department suggest a face lifted wholesale from the successful A5 coupe, so everything ahead of the A-pillar is expected to be shared with the two-door. Two rear doors will be added to the sides, though the low-slung roof of the coupe also appears to be retained, with an up-swept rear window line consistent with that of the Sportback concept shown at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show.

Audi A4 Review New Cars

One of the best options for the new Audi A4 is definitely the A4 3.0 TDI quattro and it's a very popular choice as well. Read the review here!
The 3.0 V-6 TDI produces a conservative 237 hp and, as is typical with a diesel, torque that eclipses that figure — its healthy 369 lb-ft is on tap from the lowly engine speed of 1500 rpm. As a result, a manual-transmission version like our tester is capable of 0-60 runs in just 6.1 seconds — a mere 0.2 seconds slower than the twin-turbo S4 of less than a decade ago.

Audi Quattro Sports Cars

Considered to be the most significant technological advancement of the Group B rallying era, the Audi Quattro, or Ur-Quattro as it is sometime referred to, introduced the world to what we know today as the best all wheel drive system on the market. Introduced in 1981, the top of the line two door fastback was eventually powered by a turbocharged 2.2 Liter DOHC inline 5 cylinder engine making 217 HP and capable of reaching a 143 MPH top speed. In competition trim, the five cylinder was tuned to make as much as 500 HP while the car’s curb weight was dropped to around 2,400 pounds good for a 0 to 60 MPH time of only 3.1 seconds. The Quattro won two WRC manufacturer’s championships in 1982 and 1984 with Walter Röhrl and Stig Blomqvist behind the wheel as well as a pair of driver’s championships with Hannu Mikkola and the Stig in 1983 and 1984. Meanwhile the Audi Quattro also won the 1985 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in record setting time with Michèle Mouton at the controls and then again in 1987 with Mr. Röhrl at the helm.

Audi UK Cars

Audi UK sold 100,845 cars in 2008, and this year it wants to sell even more. But how can the automaker pull that off in days like these? By putting its smaller 1.8-liter TFSI four-cylinder engine in the TT Roadster (since the Brits just looooove their convertibles), thereby creating a car that is more economical, environmentally friendly and, hopefully, almost as fun as its 2.0 TFSI brother.
The four-pot's 158-horsepower, 184-lb-ft works through a six-speed manual and pulls from 0-to-62 mph in 7.4 seconds and maxes out at a top speed of 139 mph. The car's single trim specification offers 17-inch Y-design alloy wheels, a power top with heated glass rear window, power wind deflector, power windows and mirrors, Tetrus cloth upholstery, climate control and a Chorus CD audio system.

Audi R8 Top 5 Cars 2010

The Audi R8[3] (Typ 42)[5] is a sports car with a longitudinally mounted mid-engine,[3][6] and uses Audi's trademark quattro permanent four-wheel drive system.[3][7] It was introduced by the German automaker AUDI AG in 2006.
The car was exclusively designed, developed, and manufactured by AUDI AG's high performance private subsidiary company, quattro GmbH, and is similar to the Lamborghini Gallardo.[8] The fundamental construction of the R8 is based on the Audi Space Frame,[3] and uses an aluminium monocoque which is built around space frame principles. The car is built by quattro GmbH in a newly renovated factory at Audi's 'aluminium site' at Neckarsulm in Germany.[3]
In 2005, Audi announced that the name of the successful Audi R8 race car would be used for a new road car in 2007, the Audi R8, based on the Audi Le Mans quattro concept car, appearing at the 2003 International Geneva Motor Show, and 2003 Frankfurt International Motor Show. The R8 road car was officially launched at the Paris Auto Show on 30 September 2006. There was some confusion with the name, which the car shares with the 24 Hours of Le Mans winning R8 Le Mans Prototype (LMP).
